I have a shop that is basically a repository for junk, but I am going to make a model of what it should be. A place to work on vehicles and make things from metal and wood. A place to show off my various collections of “stuff”. I’m hoping if I make a model of what it should look like I will be energized into making it happen. Here is what I have so far.

Bob doesn’t look quite right yet, his hair needs some work and that crack in his neck looks pretty painful. At some point I am going to have to fix his shoes so he doesn’t look like the monster from Young Frankenstein.

I have picked up some more items to go in the shop, in fact i also created a couple of walls for the shop and inlaid the 2 post lift model in the floor.

I really like the Plastruct panels I used on the outside. They really do resemble the metal siding on my shop. I used the part number 91513 which is G-scale / 1:24 Ribbed Roof/Corregated. Sadly this is not an inexpensive solution the package came with 2 sheets for $11 plus shipping. Since that only covered one end wall, I expect I would need 14 more sheets to do the whole building. I am considering other options but at least I can estimate the cost with the given materials.

The barrel in the picture i got from Hill Country Hobby shop. Really cool place and a little roomier now he has moved to his new suite in the same building. It is a resin cast that came in a pack of 4, they are very solid and have a good finish. I just need to get them painted in normal colors. A weak attempt at a Casterol drum can bee seen in the background I need to get the paint cleaned up and ready for oil stains and “dirtification”. The two ramps and to light colored flats in the front on the left are actually off my 3d printer. The ramps are pretty messy and the finish needs some work. The flats are really bases of hand carts. I decided not to print the handles and to use very thin aluminum tubing as a more realistic handle, “as soon as I get around to it”.
